PM Modi Hails BJP-Led Mahayuti Alliance’s Landslide Win in Maharashtra
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday expressed gratitude to BJP workers and the people of Maharashtra for the resounding victory of the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance in the state assembly elections, calling it a triumph of “development and good governance.”
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi said, “Development has emerged victorious! Good governance has prevailed! Together, we will scale even greater heights. My heartfelt thanks to the people of Maharashtra, particularly the youth and women, for this historic mandate to the NDA. Your affection and support are truly unmatched.”
He also reaffirmed the alliance’s commitment to the state’s progress, saying, “I assure the people of Maharashtra that our alliance will continue working tirelessly for the state’s development. Jai Maharashtra!”
As per the Election Commission’s data, the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance is leading in over 210 seats, comfortably surpassing the 145-seat majority mark. In contrast, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is ahead in just 54 constituencies.
PM Modi also thanked voters nationwide for their support in various Lok Sabha and Assembly by-elections. “The NDA’s pro-people agenda continues to resonate across the country! I am deeply grateful to the people for their trust in NDA candidates during these bypolls. We are committed to fulfilling their aspirations,” he tweeted.
Acknowledging the tireless efforts of NDA workers, the Prime Minister praised their dedication in reaching out to the public and effectively communicating the party’s vision of good governance.
Additionally, he congratulated Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his party on their performance in the state assembly elections. “I extend my gratitude to the people of Jharkhand for their support and assure them of our continued efforts to address their concerns. I also congratulate the JMM-led alliance on their success,” he added.
